Oxford Solutions is working with a manufacturing client seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer for a direct hire, onsite opportunity. This role will focus on developing and improving production processes, supporting manufacturability, resolving production issues, and driving continuous improvement within a precision manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in manufacturing engineering with experience supporting CNC machining, fabrication, assembly, or similar production operations. Experience in a regulated or highly controlled manufacturing environment is preferred.
Responsibilities
Identify and translate customer, regulatory, industry, and internal requirements into effective manufacturing processes.
Review product designs and provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) recommendations.
Develop and improve production processes with a focus on safety, quality, cost, manufacturability, delivery, and customer requirements.
Evaluate manufacturing efficiency and identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and workflow.
Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles.
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production and quality issues and develop effective corrective actions.
Support risk identification and analysis related to manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, production, and other teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
Support manufacturing processes involving CNC machining, assembly, composites, and metallic fabrication.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
5-10 years of manufacturing engineering experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience in aerospace, medical device, nuclear, defense, or another controlled manufacturing environment preferred.
Working knowledge of GD&T.
Experience with 3D CAD/modeling; SolidWorks preferred.
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
Experience with root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methods.
Knowledge of manufacturing risk identification and analysis.
Familiarity with CNC machining, assembly, fabrication, and related manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of Theory of Constraints (TOC) and its application within manufacturing operations is a plus.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
