Manufacturing EngineerOur client is a privately held, family-owned manufacturer specializing in the design and production of custom metal enclosures, tanks, and electrical housings that protect various power solutions and electrical systems in the field. They provide full turnkey solutions including engineering, fabrication, installation, and testing for critical-power infrastructure applications. Given their historical growth, they are looking to bolster their engineering team at their Rockford-area facility.Develop and improve manufacturing processes and workflows. Support fabrication and sheet metal manufacturing operations. Create and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, and work instructions. Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks to support manufacturing and production needs. Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance. Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve manufacturing challenges. Background in sheet metal manufacturing environments. Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks. Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Competitive base salary of $75,000-$90,000. Discretionary bonus opportunities.
