The Manufacturing Engineer will support production of hydraulic cylinders at our Schofield, WI facility, driving process improvements, quality and throughput.
Responsibilities
- Develop, document and improve manufacturing processes for machining, welding and assembly of hydraulic cylinders
- Create and maintain routings, work instructions, PFMEAs and control plans
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action on quality and production issues
- Support new product launches, tooling, fixtures and equipment justification
- Drive lean / continuous improvement projects to reduce scrap, cost and cycle time
- Partner with production, quality and design engineering on the floor
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering (or related)
- 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment
- Experience with CNC machining, welding and/or assembly processes
- Working knowledge of GD&T, PFMEA, root cause tools and lean manufacturing
- CAD experience (SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar)
- Hydraulics or heavy equipment manufacturing experience a strong plus
