The Manufacturing Engineer supports manufacturing operations by designing and improving production processes, fixtures, and tooling to enhance productivity, quality, safety, and efficiency. The role involves hands-on shop-floor support, fixture design, time studies, line balancing, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Lean Manufacturing, standard work development, and root cause analysis.

Lead the design and development of manufacturing, assembly, welding, and inspection fixtures using SolidWorks.
Create complete 3D fixture layouts, assemblies, and detailed fabrication drawings using GD&T.
Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to validate fixture concepts, support trials, and resolve shop. Floor issues.
Drive process capability and productivity improvements through effective fixture solutions.
Develop and maintain standardized work instructions incorporating fixture usage, operator guidance, and safety considerations.
Study Assembly Lines/ Processes and identify areas for improvement as per Lean Principles
Perform Time Study and Line Balancing - Elemental breakdown, Video Time study- All Processes (Stations & Operator), VA/NVA/RNVA analysis, Develop Current State Line Balancing, Muri Analysis
Develop Value Stream Mapping - Current State VSM - Identify bottlenecks, wastes and inefficiencies, Capacity analysis and Current baselining, Future State VSM, Current state vs Future state
Identify Process and productivity improvement opportunities for entire process with Level 1,2,3 improvement suggestions report and roadmap
Develop/ re-write Standard work instructions, Video work instructions
Analysis of Root Cause for the quality failures, defects, downtimes etc., and support in corrective action & Kaizen / improvement identification with detailed implementation plan
Support in Fixture design as per requirements
