Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a Contract with a client in Torrance, CA. The ideal candidate will create and optimize NC programs for aerospace components, ensuring efficient machining through proper tooling, fixture design, and equipment utilization.

Rate Range: $45/Hour to $58/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities include:

• Create and optimize NC/CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling machines used in aerospace component manufacturing.

• Analyze part geometry, material requirements, and machining strategies to maximize production efficiency and quality.

• Design and implement workholding fixtures and select appropriate cutting tools for complex aerospace parts.

• Utilize NX programming software to develop, test, and maintain machining programs in accordance with engineering specifications.

• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot machining issues and improve production processes.

• Verify program accuracy and ensure components meet dimensional, quality, and customer requirements before production release.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Machining, or a related technical field preferred.

• 2-4 years of experience in CNC programming and aerospace component manufacturing.

• Proficiency in NX programming software and experience programming 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling machines.

• Hands-on experience machining aluminum aerospace parts, including fixture design and cutting tool selection.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $58.00 per hour
