    JOB DESCRIPTION
    The Senior Manager, Engineering is responsible for leading multiple engineering teams and driving the execution of product development, innovation, and engineering operations. This role contributes to organizational objectives by aligning engineering initiatives with business strategy, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and advancing product performance and reliability. The position collaborates closely with leadership and cross-functional partners to deliver complex programs and support long-term growth. This role plays a critical part in building organizational capability, enhancing engineering processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

    PRIMARY DUTIES
    • Lead and manage multiple engineering teams, including managers and senior engineers, to deliver high-quality results.
    • Develop and execute engineering strategies aligned with organizational goals and product roadmaps.
    • Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of complex product development and engineering programs.
    • Ensure engineering deliverables meet performance, cost, quality, and schedule requirements.
    • Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align engineering priorities with business objectives.
    • Drive standardization, documentation, and best practices across engineering functions.
    • Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
    • Promote innovation and continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, and methodologies.
    • Support regulatory compliance, product certification, and quality standards.
    • Build and develop high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
    • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
    • Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
    • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve product performance, manufacturability, and operational efficiency.
    • Support new product development from concept through production and lifecycle management.
    • Evaluate and implement new technologies, tools, and engineering capabilities.
    • Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to optimize product design and processes.
    • Represent engineering in leadership discussions and strategic planning activities.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS
    Education and Experience Requirements:
    • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline;
    • 8+ years of progressive engineering experience, including leadership responsibilities,
    • Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Experience in manufacturing or HVAC environments preferred. Advanced degree preferred.

    Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
    • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, product development processes, and system design.
    • Proven leadership capability managing teams, managers, or large engineering functions.
    • Strong business acumen and ability to align engineering initiatives with organizational goals.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
    • Ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    This role is classified as a Safety Sensitive Position, requiring adherence to all safety protocols to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
