Manufacturing Maintenance Assistance (Nights)

Nesco Resource is seeking a mechanically inclined Manufacturing Maintenance Assistant for one of our long-term clients in Taylor, MI. This is a contract-to-hire role with excellent growth opportunities!

Summary:
The ideal candidate will have a technical and manufacturing background with experience in troubleshooting, completing repairs, and assisting with preventive maintenance. Trade school graduates are highly encouraged to apply!

Shift: 3 ^rd 10:00 pm to 6:00 am, Sunday through Thursday with possible OT
Pay : 24/hr to 26/hr, per level of experience



Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Maintenance team with troubleshooting and performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs
• Utilizing hand/power tools and other equipment to assemble products
• Inspect and test completed assemblies, verifying accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications
• Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns to the maintenance team
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks on machinery, tools, and facility equipment as needed
• Identify and report any defects in materials, parts, or equipment to supervisors
• Maintain a consistent workflow to keep up with demands
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve processes and resolve issues
• Maintain 5S standards for a clean and organized work area
• Follow safety protocols and procedures

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
• Trade School/Associate's degree within a mechanical or electrical background
• 2+ years of previous experience within a mechanical, automotive, or manufacturing role, preferred
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and blueprints
• Ability to stand, twist, and bend throughout the shift
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Possess strong attention to detail
