Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic II

A large, safety-first production organization is hiring a Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic II in Clackamas. You will keep production equipment running through preventive maintenance, fast troubleshooting and quality repairs. This 90-day contract suits an experienced mechanic who works independently.

• Contract assignment, 90 days with possible extension
• Work setting: onsite
• Openings: 1
• Anticipated start: within the next two to three weeks

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic and electrical problems quickly
• Repair or replace bearings, belts, motors and drive components
• Support changeovers and minimize equipment downtime
• Follow lockout and tagout procedures on every job
• Document repairs and parts used in the maintenance system

• Industrial maintenance or mechanical experience in a production setting
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Working knowledge of lockout and tagout safety
• Able to read schematics, work orders and equipment manuals
• Available to work onsite full-time in Clackamas, Oregon

• Food or grocery production maintenance experience
• Experience with conveyors, refrigeration or packaging lines
• PLC or controls familiarity
• Welding or fabrication skills
• Technical school, apprenticeship or trade certification
• Strong references from recent maintenance supervisors
