Manufacturing Manager

An established electronics manufacturer serving the defense industry needs a Manufacturing Manager to lead the production floor and facilities. You’ll report to the President, set performance standards, and make sure product quality meets corporate, industry, and customer requirements.

Circuit card assembly (CCA) or box build experience preferred.

Local candidates within about a 40-minute commute of Chelmsford, MA. Relocation is not available. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What you’ll do:

• Lead production and facilities teams (about 10 direct reports); plan schedules, set priorities, and review progress
• Direct build and shipment of company products; establish standards so output meets quality and customer requirements
• Drive continuous improvement across yields, quality, and cycle time; audit processes and implement enhancements
• Justify capital equipment; provide technical guidance on complex technology issues; support training on new manufacturing technology
• Coordinate materials for on-time production; maintain point-of-use inventory accuracy
• Oversee facility maintenance and security (HVAC, power, water, etc.); maintain OSHA/DEP compliance and the hazardous waste program
• Own department budgets and cost control; participate in TQM initiatives
• Coach and develop employees, run regular operations meetings, and complete timely performance reviews; support career-path planning

What you bring:

• B.S. in Business or related field, or equivalent experience, plus 8+ years in electronics and/or electromechanical manufacturing
• Hands-on circuit card assembly (CCA) and/or box-build experience (preferred)
• Proven leadership of production teams in an electronics manufacturing environment
• Strong written and verbal communication; solid Microsoft Office skills; attention to detail
• Comfort with safety/OSHA requirements, facilities oversight, and continuous improvement

Pay: $120,000–$130,000. Full-time, on-site in Chelmsford, MA. Equal opportunity employer.
