You will use your prior manufacturing, production, assembly, or other hands-on industrial experience while receiving training on specialized equipment, processes, and quality standards. This role offers the chance to develop valuable skills in a high-tech setting and contribute to products used in aerospace, medical, semiconductor, and AI-related applications.

Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and monitor production equipment according to detailed work instructions after completing training in a cleanroom-lab environment.
  • Load and unload materials and parts, keeping the production line supplied throughout the shift.
  • Perform in-process quality checks, including visual inspections and basic measurements, and promptly flag nonconforming parts.
  • Accurately record production counts, scrap, and downtime on logs or in the production system.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout rules and required personal protective equipment (PPE) when working around machinery.
  • Report equipment problems, material shortages, and quality issues to the supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Perform routine operator-level maintenance and cleaning on assigned equipment to ensure reliable operation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area by following 5S practices and housekeeping standards.
  • Communicate shift status, production progress, and open issues clearly at shift handoff.
  • Support other stations on the production line as needed and take on additional duties as assigned.
  • Work comfortably around operating machinery while consistently following safety rules and procedures.
  • Perform repetitive production tasks with attention to detail and accuracy in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Skills
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing, production, or assembly environment.
  • Ability to follow written work instructions and verbal directions in English.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to record data accurately.
  • Comfort working around operating machinery while adhering to safety rules.
  • Reliable attendance and the ability to work occasional overtime as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail for performing inspections and maintaining quality standards.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining consistency and accuracy.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience operating automated or semi-automated production equipment.
  • Experience in electronics assembly, soldering, dispensing, or cleanroom work.
  • Familiarity with basic measuring tools such as calipers or gauges.
  • Exposure to quality systems, 5S, or lean manufacturing practices.
  • Basic computer skills for entering production data into systems.
  • Background in machine tending, warehouse, or other hands-on industrial roles.
  • Interest in developing into specialized roles such as inspection or other production functions as the company grows.
Why Work Here?

You will join a fast-growing technology manufacturer in Austin that offers hands-on experience with advanced thermoelectric and semiconductor-related products in a high-tech production environment. The company provides structured training and is open to developing entry-level candidates who are eager to learn and consistently reliable, creating a strong pathway to build valuable manufacturing skills. You will work in a small-team culture with direct visibility to leadership, giving you the opportunity to contribute ideas and see the impact of your work. As operations expand, there is strong growth potential and clear opportunities for advancement into more specialized production and inspection roles. You will help support cutting-edge technologies used in aerospace, medical, semiconductor, and AI-related industries, contributing to meaningful and innovative applications.

Work Environment

The role is based in a small, growing advanced-technology manufacturing facility in Austin, Texas, operating in a lab-cleanroom-type production environment where full gown attire is not required. Work takes place on a production floor around operating machinery with moderate noise, and safety glasses and other PPE are required in designated areas and provided by the company. Multiple shifts are available, including first shift roles and a second shift from approximately 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with some flexibility and a full one-hour lunch break. The work involves standing and walking for extended periods, with some ability to sit during certain tasks, as well as manual dexterity and good handeye coordination for handling small components and performing detailed tasks. No heavy lifting is required, although you may occasionally lift light materials and parts up to 20 pounds. Good visual acuity, with or without correction, is important for inspecting parts and performing quality checks. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and organization, with 5S practices used to maintain orderly workstations and efficient workflows.
