The logistics Material Handler supports warehouse and logistics operations by ensuring accurate receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of materials.
This role is responsible for inventory transactions, material handling, shipping and receiving activities, and maintaining inventory accuracy to support manufacturing, service, and customer fulfillment requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inventory transactions and maintain accurate inventory records within ERP systems.
Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials and shipments.
Pick, stage, pack, and ship customer orders and internal material transfers.
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with carriers and logistics partners.
Load and unload materials using appropriate material handling equipment.
Conduct cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and discrepancy investigations.
Maintain warehouse organization, material traceability, and inventory accuracy.
Support returns, RMAs, and material disposition activities.
Follow established quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with manufacturing, planning, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability.
Participate in continuous improvement, 5S, and Lean initiatives to improve warehouse efficiency and accuracy.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in warehouse, logistics, inventory control, or material handling operations.
Knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory management, and warehouse processes.
Experience working with ERP, WMS, or inventory management systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar).
Ability to perform inventory transactions and maintain accurate records.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (forklift certification preferred).
Ability to lift and move materials in accordance with warehouse safety guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a manufacturing or high-tech environment.
Knowledge of cycle counting, inventory auditing, and inventory control practices.
Familiarity with Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience supporting domestic and international shipping operations.
