Job Description

Now Hiring: Manufacturing Planner

WB Industries | O'Fallon, MO

Building with precision. Growing with people.

Do you enjoy figuring out how things come together? Are you organized, detail-oriented, and interested in turning customer ideas and requirements into a plan that brings a finished product to life? WB Industries is looking for a Manufacturing Planner to join our team!

At WB Industries, we take on a variety of custom manufacturing projects, from precision-machined components to large-scale fabrications and aerospace ground support equipment. Our Manufacturing Planner plays an important role in making sure each job has the materials, instructions, tooling, and documentation needed to move smoothly through production.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll work closely with our estimating, engineering, quality, and production teams to develop plans that help turn customer requirements into finished products. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include developing manufacturing plans, identifying material and tooling requirements, preparing shop documentation and work instructions, and coordinating with different departments to keep projects on track.

You'll also help identify opportunities for improvement by reviewing completed jobs, learning from past projects, and finding ways to make future production efforts even better.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is organized, resourceful, and enjoys working through challenges. You should be comfortable reading basic blueprints, using basic inspection tools, working with Microsoft Office, and communicating with people across different departments.

A background in metal fabrication, machining, or another manufacturing environment is important. Familiarity with CAD software, manufacturing processes, materials, and shop equipment is a plus!

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 6 months of manufacturing experience, including internships or co-op experience.
  • Associate degree or technical education in industrial, mechanical, CAD, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to read basic blueprints and understand manufacturing terminology.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Why WB Industries?

We're a family-owned company that believes great work starts with great people. We're proud to be a Certified Great Place to Work, and we value teamwork, learning, and creating an environment where employees can grow and succeed.

If you're ready to put your manufacturing knowledge to work and be part of a team that builds some pretty impressive things, we'd love to meet you!
