Compensation: $30–$35 per hour, based on experience

A day in the life

Sunup at the plant, production is gearing up, and you’re the expert everyone trusts. You start by verifying voltage and phase rotation for new equipment coming online. By mid-morning, you’re installing a VFD and terminating control wiring to bring a relocated machine back to life. After lunch, a PLC-controlled line needs commissioning—sensors, photo-eyes, and limit switches get checked for clean signals and reliable communication. Before the shift ends, you validate motor loads, button up a control panel, and document testing to keep the operation compliant and safe.

What you’ll own

• Industrial power distribution: Install and modify feeder and branch circuits; set switchgear, transformers, disconnects, MCCs, and distribution panels; confirm electrical load capacity.
• Equipment installation: Connect, relocate, and commission production machinery; install motors, VFDs, control panels, and electrical enclosures; troubleshoot electrical and control issues to minimize downtime.
• Automation & controls: Integrate PLC-driven equipment; wire sensors, limit switches, and photo-eyes; verify signal integrity and communication; test and validate proper operation.
• Safety & compliance: Perform electrical testing and system verification; follow NEC, OSHA, LOTO, and GMP requirements; perform preventive maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment.

Where you’ll make an impact

You’ll support a high-volume manufacturing environment. Prior exposure to plastics, food & beverage, packaging, pharmaceutical, or similar industries is highly preferred.

What you bring

• 6+ years as an Industrial Electrician in manufacturing or industrial settings
• Fluency reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Personal basic hand and electrical tools
