Description

Job Summary: Responsible for leading and supporting manufacturing engineering activities to meet plant and departmental goals. Focus areas include capacity expansion, waste and cost reduction, and quality improvement initiatives. Manages multiple projects of varying scope and complexity while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and improve manufacturing machinery and production equipment.
  • Lead capital equipment projects, including planning, budgeting, installation, and performance validation.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical systems, including cam-driven mechanisms, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Guide technicians and support staff in resolving equipment and process issues effectively.
  • Collaborate with equipment vendors, R&D, and internal departments to coordinate engineering activities.
  • Prepare and manage capital appropriation requests; monitor and control related expenditures.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement cost and quality improvement measures.
  • Perform or oversee design work, drawings, calculations, and project specifications.
  • Recommend vendors, manage quotations, and oversee contractor performance for project execution.
  • Determine in-house versus outsourced fabrication requirements and direct related efforts.
  • Implement and validate process or equipment modifications; ensure proper documentation and training for production teams.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, including operation procedures, preventive maintenance schedules, and spare parts lists.
  • Ensure compliance with established safety standards in all engineering and production activities.
  • Provide functional supervision to other engineers and support personnel as needed.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Mechanical, Chemical, or Bio-engineering, or equivalent field experience.
  • All levels of experience considered; compensation will align with skill level and professional background.
Work Environment and Safety Requirements:
  • Smoke-free and substance-free facility.
  • No jewelry, false eyelashes, or press-on nails permitted on the production floor.
  • Dermal piercings must be covered while on duty.
  • Steel-toe, non-slip safety shoes required on the production floor.
