Manufacturing Technican

Legacy Staffing has partnered with a leading precision manufacturing company in Massillon, OH to hire a Manufacturing Technician. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay range of $18-22/hour based on experience and skill level.  This role focuses on supporting secondary machining operations, performing machine setups and adjustments, troubleshooting equipment issues, improving production efficiency, and helping operators achieve quality and productivity goals. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, hands-on, and experienced in machining and CNC environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform machine setups, changeovers, and adjustments on CNCs, Brother machines, Broaches, Drills, Hones, Mills, Thread Rolls, and Lathes
• Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and production performance issues
• Support operators in meeting production, quality, and scrap reduction goals
• Improve cycle times, setup efficiency, throughput, and first-pass yield
• Assist with preventive maintenance and equipment reliability initiatives
• Document setup improvements and standard work procedures
• Train operators on machine operation, tooling, troubleshooting, and best practices
• Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities
• Maintain strong 6S standards and safe work practices
• Operate production equipment as needed to support production schedules

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum two (2) years of technician experience in a machining or manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills
• Experience independently performing machine setups and equipment adjustments
• Understanding of CNC equipment, tooling, offsets, feeds/speeds, and fixturing
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Continuous improvement mindset with strong attention to detail
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, oil, and metal chips
