Job Summary: Manufacturing Technician 2 - POROS Manufacturing (Contract)

Chelmsford, MA | Night Shift | 2-2-3 Rotating Schedule

About the Role

Join a leader in biotechnology manufacturing and play a vital role in producing high-quality POROS chromatography resin. As a Manufacturing Technician II, you'll work hands-on in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where safety, quality, and continuous improvement are top priorities. Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor chemical batch manufacturing equipment such as reactors, pressure filters, pumps, and packaging machinery following SOPs and safety protocols
• Train new team members on standard operating and unit operation procedures
• Execute equipment changeovers, elutriation, polymerization, bead coating, and product discharge processes
• Maintain accurate batch and equipment records to meet ISO13485 standards and support Good Documentation Practices
• Participate in 5S and continuous improvement activities within the work center, including cleaning and organization
• Uphold all company Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) standards, wearing required PPE

Required Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year experience in chemical, biotech, or related manufacturing/operations/lab setting
• Proficient in basic calculations, data interpretation, and troubleshooting
• Strong oral and written communication abilities
• Physically able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs, push 55-gallon drums, and wear full PPE
• Comfortable working rotating night shifts (6:00 pm - 6:30 am, every other weekend)

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to cGMP environment
• Experience with Delta V systems or SAP
• Knowledge of ISO13485 documentation standards
