Manufacturing Technician A – Interdisciplinary Shared Services Areas (Entry Level)

The Manufacturing Technician A is responsible for performing functions associated with a variety of manufacturing operations across shared services areas. This role includes supporting engineers with equipment setup and calibration activities, performing rework, and conducting quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. The position may also involve using advanced software programs to collect and evaluate operating data for the purpose of making online adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. In addition, the technician may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or improve manufacturing processes and support engineers in experimental activities.
Main Functions and Development Opportunities
Operate inline cleaning equipment to wash, rinse, and dry circuit card assemblies during manufacturing to remove contaminants and ensure required cleanliness and product quality standards are met.
Perform depaneling of circuit card assemblies during manufacturing by safely separating individual circuits from production panels using approved tools and methods to prevent damage and ensure quality standards are met.
Perform cycle counts of circuit components during manufacturing by accurately verifying physical inventory against system records to maintain inventory control, ensure material availability, and support production accuracy.
Support additional manufacturing-related functions as assigned.

The incumbent is expected to identify problems and issues in straightforward situations and escalate them when needed.
