Manufacturing Technician II

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician II for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Worcester, MA. Details for the position are as follows:

• Pay: $25-27.30/hr.
• 2^nd Shift: Mon-Fri, 2:00pm-10:30pm 
• 6-month assignment with possibility for extension or conversion based on performance and budget.

Responsibilities: 

• Perform upstream, downstream, and core support manufacturing operations within a cGMP-regulated environment.
• Follow established SOPs, batch records, and written procedures while maintaining accurate manufacturing documentation.
• Operate and prepare manufacturing equipment, including cleaning and sterilization (CIP/SIP), autoclaves, and glass washers.
• Support cell culture operations, including vial thawing, media and buffer preparation, and production-scale activities.
• Perform downstream processing, including column operations, Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF), and load line setup.
• Conduct in-process sampling, pH and conductivity testing, and other analytical measurements to monitor product quality.
• Maintain inventory, assist with shipping finished materials, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to support process improvements and daily operations.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or equivalent certification required; Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline highly preferred.
• 1+ year of manufacturing experience preferred, ideally within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or cGMP environment.
• Familiarity with cGMP regulations, SOPs, batch records, and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience with or ability to learn manufacturing systems such as LIMS, SAP, DCS, PLC, and automated control systems.
