The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for the assembly, integration, wiring, and testing of electrical and/or mechanical systems for new product builds in a manufacturing environment. This role supports complete equipment builds by combining mechanical assembly with electrical installation and verification. The ideal candidate brings strong, practical electrical and/or mechanical skills gained in manufacturing, industrial, field, or construction environments.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Assemble mechanical and electrical systems for new equipment according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions
+ Use basic hand tools and fixtures
+ Follow proper lifting, rigging, and material‑handling practices
+ Train or mentor less experienced assemblers and technicians
+ Assemble and install ducting systems, supports, hangers, and brackets
+ Perform mechanical fit‑up, alignment, and adjustment of piping and ducting assemblies
+ Install gaskets, flanges, fittings, valves, and supports per specifications
+ Cut, prep, assemble, and install PVC piping systems
+ Apply specified torque to bolted joints, flanges, and mechanical connections using torque‑controlled tools
+ Perform pressure testing and leak testing of piping systems in accordance with specifications and procedures
+ Verify system integrity, alignment, and assembly completeness prior to product release
+ Identify, document, and correct mechanical assembly or leakage issues
+ Use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical assembly fixtures
+ Use precision measuring tools including tape measures, calipers, and levels
+ Safely operate overhead cranes, hoists, lifts, and rigging equipment to position components and assemblies
+ Measure, cut, bend, and install conduit using manual and powered conduit bending tools
+ Pull, strip, terminate, label, and dress electrical wiring and cables
+ Perform crimping and terminations using approved wire stripping and crimping tools
+ Apply specified torque to electrical terminations and equipment mounting hardware using torque tools (such as torque wrenches, drills, wrenches, screw drivers)
+ Perform required electrical testing processes including:
+ Continuity testing
+ Insulation resistance (megger) testing
+ Hi pot (high potential) testing
+ Functional testing of completed assemblies
+ Verify wiring accuracy against electrical schematics, drawings, and bills of material
+ Perform troubleshooting and rework
+ Support process improvement activities
+ Follow safety and housekeeping guidelines
+ Maintain organized work areas including 5S
+ Maintain documentation and drive improvements
+ Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment (noise, temperature variation, equipment proximity)
+ Willingness to work assigned shifts and overtime as production schedules require
+ Any other duties as directed by manager

Minimum Requirements:
+ 5+ years of hands on electrical and/or mechanical experience, obtained in manufacturing, industrial, construction, or field environments
+ Demonstrated experience using:
+ Conduit bending tools
+ Wire stripping and crimping tools
+ Drilling and tapping tools
+ Torque tools for electrical terminations, piping, and equipment mounting
+ Strut channel cutting and installation tools
+ Pipe and conduit cutting tools
+ Experience performing electrical testing such as continuity, insulation resistance, hi pot, and functional testing and/or system leak and pressure testing
+ Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, P&IDs, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
+ Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to troubleshoot, and attention to detail
