Manufacturing Test Engineer/MTE

We are seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer to support our Manufacturing Test Engineering team. NVIDIA is the world leader in GPU computing, artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, computer gaming, and autonomous technologies. In this role, you will provide hands-on support for board- and system-level validation testing across mass production manufacturing and RMA facilities. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and manufacturing partners to execute validation test processes, troubleshoot hardware and test station issues, and help maintain efficient production test operations.

What you will be doing:

  • Execute and maintain board- and system-level diagnostics code validation testing in mass production manufacturing environment. (3 years minimum)
  • Follow, update, and maintain manufacturing process documentation and work instructions to support consistent execution and knowledge transfer into production.
  • Set up, operate, maintain, and perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing test stations to ensure readiness for high-volume production.
  • Partner with manufacturing, operations, and engineering teams to support diagnostics code validation FAI, production builds, and RMA testing activities.
  • Assist with deployment and validation of manufacturing test solutions and automation in collaboration with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and internal engineering teams.
  • Perform first-level debugging of failed boards and systems, collect diagnostic data, document issues, and escalate findings to operations engineering team for root cause analysis.
  • Review test logs, identify failure signature, and provide insightful and actionable data to Operations Engineering teams including but not limited to Test Development Engineer (TDE) and Product Development Engineer (PDE).
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing test stations, test equipment, and hardware at the board and system level to minimize production downtime.
  • Support the setup, maintenance, and ongoing operation of manufacturing test facilities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on test yield, test efficiency, equipment reliability, and process optimization.

What we need to see:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience supporting board- and system-level manufacturing test environments, including test execution, validation, troubleshooting, and hardware bring-up.
  • Working knowledge of compute or networking hardware platforms, with familiarity in technologies such as CPUs, GPUs, HBM, and PCIe.
  • Comfortable using Linux command-line tools and shell commands to execute tests, review outputs, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Experience reading and interpreting manufacturing test logs and providing clear diagnostic information to engineering teams.
  • Basic scripting experience in Python and/or Linux shell scripting for test execution or automation support.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing diagnostics and test software used in factory and RMA environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
