Job Purpose or Summary:
The Market Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within an assigned market segment. This role serves as the primary customer advocate and market expert, partnering closely with customers and internal teams to develop innovative manufacturing solutions that create long-term value. The Market Development Manager develops strategic relationships with key decision makers and influencers, identifies emerging market opportunities, and drives opportunities through the early stages of the business development process. This role works collaboratively with operations leadership, technical leads, estimating, project engineering, and quality to support the successful development of new business opportunities. Success in this position requires strong relationship-building abilities, business acumen, problem-solving skills, curiosity, and the ability to operate effectively in a highly autonomous environment.

Experience:
- Four or more years’ experience in business development, sales, account management, engineering, manufacturing, or related industrial environments.
- Demonstrated ability to develop customer relationships and identify growth opportunities.
- Experience in manufacturing industry and with metal manufacturing processes including roll forming, tube fabrication, welding, stamping, machining or related technologies is highly preferred.
- Experience with project management and new product development.
- Experience managing complex customer opportunities involving multiple stakeholders.
