Company Summary: Our client is a leading global independent trading company operating in over 100 countries, with a strong presence in the commodity and energy markets. They are looking to hire a Market Risk Analyst to play a critical role in their growing power trading platform, and serve as the intersection of commercial decision-making, market strategy, and risk management.

The Market Risk Analyst will be responsible for:

• Monitor and maintain daily trading positions, PnL, and risk exposures across power trading portfolio
• Prepare and communicate daily risk reports to traders and senior leadership
• Continuously validate power curves, market data, and futures across portfolios
• Collaborate with and provide support across trading, operations, finance, and risk teams

Job Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of experience in a middle office role on a power trading team
• Expert level competency in Excel modeling, data analysis, and reporting
• Strong understanding of power markets, pricing mechanisms, and trading dynamics
• Possesses proactive, disciplined, detail-oriented, and leadership qualities
• Knowledge of complex power structure is highly preferred
