Marketing Intern

Our client, a marketing and advertising company based in Waterbury, is looking for a Marketing Intern to join their team for a semester-long internship. This role supports the marketing department with campaign execution, content creation, and market research across multiple client accounts.

The intern will work directly with account managers and creative staff to learn how integrated marketing campaigns are planned and delivered. This is a hands-on opportunity to build a professional portfolio while gaining exposure to social media management, email marketing, and basic analytics reporting.

This position is well-suited for a student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, or a related field who wants practical agency experience before entering the workforce full-time.

Responsibilities

• Assist with drafting social media posts and scheduling content
• Support email marketing campaign setup and testing
• Conduct competitor and market research for client accounts
• Help compile weekly performance reports using analytics tools
• Coordinate materials for client presentations and meetings
• Proofread marketing copy and promotional materials
• Assist with organizing digital asset files and folders
• Attend team brainstorming sessions and take notes

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in marketing, communications, or related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with social media platforms used for business
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week
• Reliable transportation to the Waterbury office
