Marketing Internship - Higher Education

Kendall Hunt Publishing is looking for Marketing Interns for our Higher Education division to gain hands-on experience in marketing, digital content creation, social media, and campaign development. This role is perfect for college students looking to build their marketing skills, explore creative ideas, and gain real-world experience working with a collaborative marketing team.

You'll have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, develop content, support marketing campaigns, and learn how marketing helps connect college professors, authors, and students with educational products.

No previous marketing or publishing experience necessary! We're looking for creative, motivated individuals who are eager to learn, bring fresh ideas, and gain valuable professional experience. This is a great opportunity for college students seeking a flexible schedule during the school year. This position is located in our home office in Dubuque, Iowa.

What Does a Marketing Intern in Higher Education Do?

• Work directly with our Higher Education Marketing team to support day-to-day marketing initiatives and projects.
• Assist in creating engaging content for social media, email campaigns, websites, and other marketing channels.
• Help plan, develop, and execute marketing campaigns that promote our publications, authors, and educational products.
• Support social media efforts, including content brainstorming, scheduling, and engagement.
• Assist with basic graphic design, video content, and other creative marketing materials.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and audience research to identify new marketing opportunities.
• Help organize and maintain marketing contact lists, campaign information, and digital assets.
• Assist with tracking campaign performance, analyzing results, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and editorial teams on projects that support business growth.
• Bring fresh ideas and creative approaches to help strengthen our marketing efforts.

• No previous marketing experience is necessary!
• Currently working toward a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Business, or a related field.
