Company Overview

Spavia Day Spa Overland Park is a luxury day spa located in the Boundary at Bluhawk Shopping Center in Overland Park, Kansas. Our mission is to help guests Relax, Recenter, and Renew through exceptional spa experiences delivered in a beautiful, calming environment.

We are building an exceptional team of caring, talented Massage Therapists and provide the guests, scheduling, supplies, marketing, and support so you can focus on what you do best: providing exceptional massage therapy.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity for an experienced Massage Therapist who wants more consistent clients, strong earning potential, and a professional spa environment designed with therapist well-being in mind. Our membership model creates a steady flow of repeat guests, so you can build relationships and a predictable schedule without the stress of constantly finding your own clients.

You will join a supportive, team-oriented culture where leadership invests in your growth with paid training, continuing education opportunities, and clear pathways for professional development. We handle the business behind the scenes so you can focus on high-quality bodywork and guest care.

What You'll Do

  • Provide a range of massage services, including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Salt Stone, Prenatal, and customized massage sessions tailored to guest needs.
  • Create personalized treatment plans based on each guest's wellness goals, recommending appropriate enhancements such as cupping and CBD when beneficial.
  • Deliver consistently excellent guest experiences in a luxury spa setting, building trust and long-term relationships with repeat members and guests.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked treatment room and complete simple SOAP notes to document each session.
  • Collaborate with a professional spa team to support an elevated guest journey from arrival to departure, including educating guests on wellness options and memberships.

What Success Looks Like

  • Within your first 3–6 months, develop a loyal base of repeat guests who request you by name and regularly rebook services.
  • Consistently deliver high guest satisfaction, reflected in positive feedback, reviews, and strong gratuities.
  • Maintain a well-managed schedule, staying prepared for each session and effectively using the 10-minute turnover between services.
  • Contribute to spa revenue by recommending appropriate enhancements, retail products, and memberships in a genuine, guest-focused way.

What We're Looking For

  • Licensed Massage Therapist with a minimum of 500 hours of massage therapy education and successful completion of the MBLEx or qualifying national exam.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification, plus eligibility for a City of Overland Park Massage Therapist License and ability to meet applicable city licensing, fingerprinting, and background requirements.
  • A calm, caring, and professional presence with strong guest-service skills and a passion for wellness and helping others feel their best.
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to learning, growing, and delivering consistent, high-quality bodywork in a fast-paced, luxury spa environment.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Average pay per 60-minute massage: $52–$62 including gratuity; up to $80 for advanced 80–100-minute treatments, plus enhancement pay, retail opportunities, and bonuses. Experienced therapists working approximately 30 hours per week with an 80% booked schedule may earn $75,000–$95,000+ annually (compensation is based on experience). $500 sign-on bonus after the first 60 days.
  • Paid in-house training, continuing education opportunities and CE hours, family and friends treatment discounts, beautiful work environment, supportive leadership, and career growth opportunities. Full-time team members may be eligible for health insurance, PTO, and 401(k).
  • W-2 position.
  • Full-time and part-time opportunities with flexible scheduling, typical 5–6 hour shifts, about four to five 60-minute massages per shift, and 10-minute turnover between services.
