Position Overview

We are seeking a Master Data Management (MDM) Steward to support vendor master data operations within an enterprise Procure-to-Pay environment.

This role focuses on vendor onboarding, data validation, banking verification, purchase orders, and ongoing supplier data maintenance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience, strong Excel and Google Sheets skills, and an understanding of vendor onboarding and source-to-pay processes.

The individual must be detail-oriented, comfortable communicating with suppliers, and capable of managing multiple data-related workflows while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage vendor creation and updates across multiple business entities, including validating W-9, W-8, ACH, wire, and EFT documentation.

• Perform duplicate checks using tax identification numbers, company names, addresses, and other vendor attributes.

• Utilize banking verification platforms to validate supplier banking information.

• Initiate vendor invitations and onboarding workflows following vendor setup.

• Process vendor requests and banking verification approvals through Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance (SLP).

• Conduct phone calls with supplier accounts payable or receivables contacts to verify ACH, wire, and EFT banking details.

• Document supplier communications and update vendor master records accordingly.

• Maintain tracking logs and follow-up documentation using Smartsheet.

• Manage vendor data approvals and modifications through SAP Master Data Governance tools.

• Translate business requirements into data rules, workflows, and integration processes.

• Support data quality initiatives by identifying discrepancies, investigating root causes, and recommending process improvements.

• Contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of enterprise Master Data Management applications.

• Identify opportunities to improve MDM processes, data accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA, particularly Business Partner Management.

• At least 1 year of experience in a vendor, supplier, or business data management environment.

• Understanding of Procure-to-Pay, Source-to-Pay, vendor onboarding, purchase orders, and invoice processes.

• Experience with Master Data Governance tools such as SAP MDG or CherryWorks.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume data-related tasks.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally with external suppliers.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• PeopleSoft ERP experience.

• Experience with banking verification platforms or services.

• Experience with Smartsheet.

• Familiarity with Google Workspace.

• Experience with TrustPair, Coupa, or Ariba SLP.

• Knowledge of Master Data Management, Data Governance, and Data Quality principles.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Work Location

This position is based in Parsippany, NJ, with a hybrid schedule requiring onsite attendance Monday through Thursday and remote work on Friday.

Interview Process

1. First Round: 30-minute Google Meet interview with the Hiring Manager.

2. Second Round: 1.5 2-hour onsite interview with a panel and leadership team.
