Responsibilities
- Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards and Toyota time guides
- Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment - complete multi-point inspection
- Performs advanced maintenance and repairs on vehicles,diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical issues including engine & Transmission repairs.
- Communicates directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
- Executes repairs under warranty to Toyota specifications with accurate notes and pictures keeping in mind-fix it right the first time.
- Take manufacturer training to excel in diagnosis and repair of gas, hybrid and electric vehicles
Qualifications
- Experience as an automotive technician with ASE certification or Mechanic with 5 years experience with some ASE certification
- Must be able to diagnose and repair withing automotive time table guidelines.
- Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent
- Problem solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Basic Computer skills
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
- Enjoy working in a fast paced environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail
- Team player
- Must have a valid driver’s license- clean driving record
- Ability to learn new technology, repairs and service procedures and specifications
- Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
