Description
Job Summary:
The Material Handler I is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the materials yard, including loading, unloading, and organizing building materials. This is an entry-level position requiring minimal experience, with opportunities for training and advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the loading and unloading of materials from trucks and customer vehicles.
Organize and stock materials in designated yard locations.
Maintain cleanliness and safety in the yard by removing debris and ensuring clear walkways.
Use basic hand tools and equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
Assist customers with locating materials and handling general inquiries.
Follow all company safety protocols and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
Requirements:
No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions.
