About the OpportunityDoherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Material Handlers for a manufacturing company in Grand Forks, North Dakota. What You'll Do as a Material Handler – 1st Shift:- Transport materials and parts to designated production and storage areas
- Stage parts and deliver kanban containers to production departments
- Load and unload freight shipments
- Verify packing slips, quantities received, and backordered items
- Inspect incoming products for damage and document issues as needed
- Organize and store inventory in designated locations
- Assist with inventory counts and year-end inventory procedures
What You Need to Bring to the Material Handler – 1st Shift Role:- High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic computer skills, including Windows, email, and internet use
- Strong communication, reading, math, and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds from floor to waist and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push and/or pull up to 100 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders or stairs throughout the shift
- Manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling experience is helpful but not required
