Material Handler

You will be aligned to the Diversified Food and Health Division focused on Bevcorp product line located at the Eastlake, OH facility.

On a given day you will:

• Assist with expediting jobs created by the production planners by moving and locating material with job travelers to the correct operation, making sure parts are labeled accordingly. 

• Maintain organization and prioritize workflow on the shop floor by managing the staging area based on job traveler schedule, time needed to complete job and completed job picks to ensure efficiency and on time job completion.

• Ensure effective and accurate communication between planners, buyers, assembly, and warehouse teams

• Identify and implement improvements in process flow and other aspects of job duties

• Locate materials and supplies by verifying material listed on production job travelers.

• Deliver materials and supplies to next operations. 

• Document material and record units delivered at each interval of the job operation, verifying the accuracy of quantity and visual quality of the part.

• Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signals machine operators to move materials onto and off trucks, ships, and loading docks.

• Ensure that all appropriate parts necessary for upcoming shipments are present, staged, and accurately photographed when job is ready to be packed and shipped.

• Advise job planner to initiate primary and secondary picks based on job completion status and assist with pulling jobs picks from inventory as necessary.

• Responsible for reporting safety hazards and implementing new standards as needed.

• Perform all duties and assigned tasks in a safe and responsible manner.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

• Other duties as assigned.
