Material Handler I

Pay Rate: $21 per hour

Summary:

• Shift Timings: 3:30pm-2:30am, Monday - Thursday
• Training will be on 1st shift for the first two weeks

Responsibilities:

• Follow all health and safety procedures and regulations as dictated by the organization and the state
• Operate forklift with care and with awareness of people and the environment around the machine
• Ensure forklift is properly stored, fueled, cleaned, and ready to operate
• Perform maintenance on the machine as needed
• Follow and update inventory activity, lists, records, and log all completed tasks
• Move inventory and materials across facilities
• Stack and organize large bulk items
• Remove inventory from trucks or shipping and deliver to the proper location
• Carry inventory for shipping to the proper truck
• Move materials from facilities to workstations, pick-up locations, or other locations
• Make note and request any damaged parts or replacements needed
• Submit inventory records and log at close of day
• All other duties assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

• HS degree or equivalent
• Prior forklift certification required
• Able to operate a stand-up and sit-down forklift
• Occasionally required to lift up to 40 pounds
• Safety toe shoes are required

Preferred Skills:

• Minimum two years of experience working with heavy machinery, forklifts, or other related equipment
