Material Handler I

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler in for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position is responsible for loading, unloading, moving, and tracking materials within a plant, yard, or work site. The role involves shipping and receiving activities, material handling equipment, and assisting machine operators with material movement.

Required Skills

• Prior warehouse experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to use computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying, and recording information
• Ability to safely handle and move materials using appropriate equipment

What You’ll Do

• Load, unload, and convey materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site
• Perform tasks related to shipping and receiving
• Open containers using hand tools and count, weigh, and sample materials
• Load and unload materials from pallets, trays, multi-level racks, conveyors, machines, and trucks
• Move materials using wheelbarrows, hand trucks, forklifts, electric dollies, elevators, or other equipment
• Stack or assemble materials as needed
• Assist machine operators by lifting heavy objects by hand or using power hoists
• Use computer systems to track, log, verify, and record material information

Work Schedule / Shift

• 1st shift
• Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
