About the Role

We are seeking a Material Handler to support production, inventory, and supply chain operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves coordinating material movements, maintaining accurate inventory records, and collaborating with operational teams to ensure smooth workflow. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational skills, proficiency with ERP systems, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations, foundry, product engineering, purchasing, and inventory teams to meet production needs.
• Stage materials, replenish stock, and facilitate the movement of materials to designated production areas.
• Categorize and organize materials by type and size following established storage procedures.
• Fulfill orders accurately, issue supplies, and report shortages for subcontractor and internal assembly kits.
• Maintain comprehensive inventory and stock records supporting traceability and accountability.
• Communicate effectively with management and team members regarding material issues, machine capacity, and stock levels.
• Occasionally deliver and pick up materials from suppliers to support procurement timelines.
• Assist in shipping and production activities as needed, performing various operational tasks.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during material handling and equipment operation.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as Oracle or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs safely.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Valid forklift and pallet jack operation certifications preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems, particularly Oracle, including production planning and master data management.
• Knowledge of MRP concepts, production control, and capacity planning (SIOP).
• Strong organizational, planning, and multi-tasking skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective report-building and presentation skills.
• Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks efficiently and safely.
• Flexibility to travel occasionally for supplier deliveries or company meetings.

Tools, Equipment, and Systems

• ERP systems (Oracle or equivalent).
• Forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Office equipment for data entry and reporting.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and handle materials for extended periods.
• Capable of heavy lifting up to 50 lbs frequently.
• Bending, standing, and maneuvering in a fast-paced production environment.
• Clear verbal communication skills for instructions and coordination.
• Flexibility and mobility to travel occasionally to supplier locations.
