Job Description: Material Handler / Sit-Down Forklift Operator

Shift: 2nd Shift
Department: Warehouse / Manufacturing

Position Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for moving, organizing, and supplying materials throughout the manufacturing facility to support daily production operations. This position requires previous experience operating a sit-down forklift, along with the ability to safely load, unload, transport, and stage materials while maintaining an organized and efficient work environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the facility.

• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and incoming shipments.

• Transport raw materials, finished products, and supplies to designated production and warehouse areas.

• Stage materials for production and ensure departments have the supplies needed to maintain workflow.

• Receive, inspect, and organize incoming materials.

• Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with material tracking.

• Keep warehouse and production areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.

• Follow all company safety procedures and forklift operating guidelines.

• Assist with general warehouse and manufacturing duties as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous sit-down forklift operating experience is required.

• Previous material handling or warehouse experience preferred.

• Ability to safely move, lift, and handle materials throughout the shift.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. Employees may be exposed to varying temperatures, machinery, and normal manufacturing noise levels. The role requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.

Schedule: 2nd Shift (specific hours to be provided).
