Job Title: Material Handler (#896-1)
Location: 1001 US Route 202, Raritan, NJ 08869
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
 
Pay Rate: $19.00/Hr on W2
 
Shift: 1st shift - 7am-3:30pm 1st shift only. potential Overtime – 40 Hours/Week
 
(Job Description)
 
This position is responsible for all material handling activities such as picking and packing internal or external orders, loading and unloading freight and verifying against the bill of lading or manifest, re-palletizing materials to conform to department SOP's, and maintaining a neat and orderly work area that complies with all cGMP's and good housekeeping practices at all times.
· 30% - Pick/Pack customer orders and manufacturing orders tom conform with instructions, regulations and department SOP's. Unload trucks and palletize all incoming materials and store/deliver to appropriate area/individual
· 20% - Visually inspect for accuracy and condition prior to signing receipt documentation. Enters receipt information into applicable computer system, if applicable
· 20% - Loads freight on carriers in accordance with shipping manifest reports and Bill of Lading
· 15% - Pick, Stage, and Deliver components for manufacturing orders based on move request and/or transfer orders (TO's)
· 10% - Process all materials for scrap when required in accordance with medical and/or hazardous waste regulations along with receipt storage and destruction of returned goods in accordance with the Returned Goods Policy
· 5% - Other work-related activities/duties as assigned
· Other work-related duties as assigned
· Able to work in environments as cold as -20C with appropriate PPE
· Able to work in all areas of Distribution (Shipping, Receiving, Warehousing)
· Basic PC knowledge required
· Basic Mathematics
 
Parameter Description
· The Key Stakeholders Internal Customers: Materials Management, Operations, Maintenance, Mail Services, Product Support, Tech Transfer
· The Individual Required Skills: 1-2 years of related experience in a distribution related environment.
· Preferred Skills: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience in SAP and Warehouse Management systems Experience operating a forklift, pallet jack, and other material handling equipment Experience working in a Biotechnology, Medical Device, Pharmaceutical or Consumer Product Manufacturing environment.
