Material Handler – Stand-Up Forklift

Nesco Resource is seeking an experienced Material Handler with stand-up forklift operating experience to support warehouse and production operations in a food manufacturing facility in the Missouri City area of Houston. The ideal candidate will have strong material handling skills, basic computer proficiency, and experience using handheld inventory scanners.

Candidates must have experience operating a stand-up forklift and will be required to successfully complete an onsite forklift skills assessment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Safely operate stand-up forklifts to move, load, unload, and organize materials.

• Transport raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished products throughout the facility.

• Stage materials for production according to established schedules.

• Use handheld scanners and computer systems to track inventory and material movements.

• Perform inventory transactions and maintain accurate warehouse records.

• Receive and verify incoming shipments.

• Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.

• Maintain organized warehouse and production storage areas.

• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and workplace safety procedures.

• Communicate material shortages, damaged products, or inventory discrepancies to management.

• Support production and warehouse operations as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a stand-up forklift.

• Ability to successfully complete an onsite forklift assessment.

• Experience using handheld scanners and inventory tracking systems.

• Basic computer skills.

• Previous warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing experience.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Strong attention to safety and inventory accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Food manufacturing or food distribution experience.

• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).

• Shipping, receiving, and inventory control experience.

• Experience supporting production material staging.
