Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and transport metal materials using forklifts, cranes, or other material handling equipment.
• Stage raw materials for production and move finished products to designated storage areas.
• Verify material quantities and quality against work orders and shipping documents.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies.
• Operate material handling equipment in compliance with safety standards.
• Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparing shipments.
• Keep work areas clean and organized to ensure a safe environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in material handling or warehouse operations preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment (certification may be required).
• Basic math and record-keeping skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands

• Lifting: Regularly lift and move materials up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 75 lbs with assistance.
• Standing/Walking: Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the shift.
• Bending/Twisting: Frequent bending, stooping, and twisting to handle materials.
• Reaching: Ability to reach overhead and at ground level.
• Manual Dexterity: Use of hands and arms to operate tools and equipment.
• Environmental Conditions: Exposure to noise, heat, dust, and metal particles; must wear appropriate PPE.
