We are seeking dependable and safety-focused Material Handlers to join our warehouse team in Richmond and Ashland, VA. This position is responsible for moving, storing, staging, and transporting materials throughout the warehouse using a variety of powered industrial equipment. Candidates with experience operating forklifts and order-picking equipment are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, move, and stage materials within the warehouse.
- Operate sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, and cherry pickers safely and efficiently.
- Pick, pull, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Receive incoming shipments and verify product quantities and condition.
- Stock inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Utilize RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), and shipping documentation.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper product handling and storage.
- Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse policies.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse and material handling experience preferred.
- Experience operating sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, and cherry pickers required.
- Ability to work at heights while operating elevated equipment.
- Experience with RF scanners and inventory systems preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, and walk throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
