Pay Rate: $21/hr on W2 (including all benefits)

Shift: 3 ^rd Shift - (10:00 PM - 06:30 PM [Lunch: Flexible - Flexible])

Material Handler

Summary:
" Performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

" Incumbents perform many of the same duties as a Materials Handler Assistant but are distinguished in that incumbent's exercise decision making and independent judgement due to a broader knowledge of the materials handling operation and provide on the job training and problem resolution to others. Incumbents may be responsible for a higher volume, high dollar amount and/or be assigned responsibility over one or more specified areas. Incumbents are expected to handle high-dollar cost and fragile equipment or supplies and hazardous materials, such as chemicals or gases, when necessary. May be required to lift heavy objects.
" Counts, weighs, or measures incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records; examines incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify; completes paperwork or forms required for documentation.
" Determines method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates; prepares materials for shipping by weighing, packaging and stamping; prepares necessary shipping forms such as bills of lading.
" Provides on the job training to lower-level employees and resolves problems utilizing knowledge of shipping/receiving/stock operations.
" Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.

" Material request / picking
" Shipping / Receiving
" Packing material
" Stocking material
" Shop support kitting
" Load/Unload Trucks w/ pallet jack
" May use hydraulic cart and/or forklift.
" Will drive forklift (sit-down)
" Cycle Counting
" Answering calls from customers (excellent communication skills needed)
" Responding to customer emails in a professional manner
" General Housekeeping (sweeping, emptying trash, etc.)

Educational Requirements: Minimum High School Diploma or GED
