Overview

Materials Coordinator (SWFPAC 2026-25323):

Bowhead seeks a Material Coordinator at the Strategic Weapons Facility Pacific (SWFPAC) and Marine Corps Security Battalion (MCSFBn) logistics department.

Please note, this position is contingent upon contract award. No third party applications or submissions will be considered.

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include: 

  • Coordinates the physical flow, staging, tracking, and protection of critical production materials, specialized tools, and fleet repair parts.
  • Synchronizes data with physical warehouse activities.
  • Organize, position, and stage high-value sub-assemblies and hardware in strict compliance with command operational requirements and shipyard production timelines.
  • Physically support the offloading and loading of specialized technical hardware from naval vessels and transportation vehicles, ensuring continuous chain-of-custody tracking.
  • Update internal Inventory Tracking Systems (ITS), Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), or Oracle/SAP architectures. Actively resolve material shortages, transit damage, or component entry errors to safeguard audit readiness.
  • Enforce exact inventory segregation and specific safety profiles for specialized components, including hazardous material (HAZMAT) control and technical line-item separation.
  • Plan and execute comprehensive physical audits, cycle counts, and component location verifications in accordance with localized military policy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (GED) Vocational training or certificates in warehouse coordination, logistics, or defense manufacturing are preferred.
  • 2–4 years of progressive material control, expediting, or warehouse operations experience, ideally within a DoD, aerospace, or naval shipyard setting.
  • Proven experience utilizing data entries in material tracking applications (e.g., Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Materials Resource Planning (MRP II), or localized inventory management databases
  • 2–4 years of progressive material control, expediting, or warehouse operations experience, ideally within a DoD, aerospace, or naval shipyard setting
  • Have written and oral communications abilities commensurate with this management role.
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to understand, speak, read, and write the English language.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, Government Representative, and outside contacts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged period amounts of time.
  • Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically.
  • High noise levels are common as is the potential exposure to heat/cold, noise, dusts, mist, and/or fumes.

Security Requirements: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
