Job Summary
The Materials Handler supports production operations by ensuring the timely movement, issuance, and tracking of materials throughout the manufacturing process. This role plays a key part in maintaining workflow efficiency and inventory accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse and shop environment.
Job Description
- Move materials to and from workstations to support ongoing production processes
- Issue and transfer parts required for production activities
- Assist the Production Planner and assembly stores as needed
- Utilize manufacturing system tools and principles to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of materials movement and inventory using SAP
- Support general warehouse and production operations as assigned
- NEST training in Houston
- Shift: M-F 8:00am-4:30pm
Skills Required
- Minimum of 2 years of materials management or warehouse experience
- Experience using SAP is required
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
- Forklift experience (training will be provided if needed)
- Approximately 80% warehouse/shop floor and 20% desk work
- Non-climate-controlled environment
- Fast-paced and dynamic setting
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
Pay Rate
- $18 - $24 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
