Materials Plant OperatorPosition Title: Materials Plant OperatorLocation: Montezuma County Road & Bridge DepartmentDepartment: Road & BridgeReports To: Lead Foreman  Summary:The Materials Plant Operator is responsible for safely operating, monitoring, and maintaining plant equipment used in the processing, production, and distribution of materials. This role ensures efficient plant operations while following company, environmental, and safety standards.Key Responsibilities:Operate and monitor plant machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance to keep equipment in good working condition.Load, unload, and transport materials following company procedures.Record production data, equipment readings, and material usage accurately.Follow all safety regulations, including PPE requirements and hazard awareness protocols.Identify and report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.Assist with plant housekeeping to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and production quality.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required.Experience in plant operations, industrial equipment, or materials handling preferred.Ability to operate heavy or mechanical equipment safely.Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying environmental conditions.Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Schedule:Monday thru Friday 7:00pm to 5:00pm, On-Call for snow plowing in the winter. Benefits: Competitive payHealth, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement plan optionsPaid time offOpportunities for training and career growth
