Math Instructor

Qualifications:- Passion for math and working with students- Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I- High School Diploma preferredAll applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.Who We Are:Mathnasium makes math make sense - Building children's confidence and a deep understanding of mathematics. We set ourselves apart by providing Math Instructors with:- A rewarding opportunity to transform the lives of K-12 students- Consistent, but flexible part-time hours after school and on weekends- A fun, supportive, and encouraging work culture- Opportunities for advancement- Continuous training on effective teaching methodologiesJob Responsibilities:- Teach/tutor using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices- Lead, coach, and work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting- Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions- Follow-up with parents and guardians regarding students' learning progress and engagement- Become proficient with Mathnasium educational materials, systems, and processes- Assist with administrative tasks as needed- Support the maintenance of a clean, safe, and professional learning environment- Be reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling assigned duties and obligations- Be honest and ethical in interactions with all customers- Instructors are expected to work at least 3 days per week aligned with instructional hours
