Matrimonial Associate – Los Angeles, CA

Location: Los Angeles, California (in-office)

Schedule: Full-time

Compensation: $235,000–$350,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses

About the Opportunity

Our client, a distinguished law firm with a strong national presence, is seeking a skilled Matrimonial Associate to join its Los Angeles office. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Draft and file motions, pleadings, and other litigation documents in matrimonial and family law matters
  • Conduct extensive legal research and manage discovery processes
  • Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel on a regular basis
  • Manage case files and maintain organized work product from inception through resolution
  • Collaborate with partners and team members on strategy and case development
  • Handle court appearances and other litigation-related tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
  • 2–5 years of experience in matrimonial or family law
  • Prior law firm experience required
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Significant hands-on experience drafting motions and pleadings
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, personable, and a collaborative team player
  • Family law and/or accounting experience is a plus
  • Outstanding academic and professional credentials
