Mechanic

Power-Flo Technologies is seeking a Mechanic to join the team at our Buffalo Pump and Motor Repair shop.

Mechanic Primary Functions

At the direction of the Shop Manager - mechanics are responsible for the proper disassembly and evaluation of a motor including troubleshooting, assembly, quality control, and testing processes. Field Service positions available to properly qualified individuals.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4 PM.

Mechanic Essential Responsibilities

• Disassemble mechanical ac & dc motors, gear units and pumps.
• Assemble mechanical ac & dc motors, gear units and pumps.
• Diagnose problems and failures of incoming units to ensure the customer's complaint is resolved.
• Interpret and apply dimensional measurements
• Measure and record electrical data, mechanical fits and clearances.
• Recording all necessary materials in order to complete the repair
• Follow all necessary instructions in order to complete the repair
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area at all times
• Organize and maintain shop tools and equipment
• Organize and maintain personal tools and equipment
• Willing and able to work OT as required.

Mechanic Necessary Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Basic knowledge regarding use of a pc
• Competent with the use of electrical test equipment, i.e. Multi meter, shop tools, hand tools, pneumatic tools, hoists, etc…
• Mechanical aptitude required
• A valid and clean driver's license to operate company vehicles as needed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to Stand for 8 Hours
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to work on elevated platforms
• Ability to climb ladders

Salary Range: Between $17 - $32/hour depending on experience with pump and motor repair
