Key Responsibility:
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production line equipment including fillers, conveyors, labelers, motors, and auxiliary systems.
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Install, align, and commission new equipment, including participation in plant expansions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and implement timely corrective actions.
- Support production changeovers, line setups, and adjustments to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to support repairs and modifications.
- Perform minor fabrication and machining of parts as needed using shop equipment.
- Troubleshoot basic PLC-controlled systems and interface with controls technicians as needed.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns, including equipment shutdown, safety assessment, and controlled restart of operations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical disciplines preferred.
- 2 - 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance within manufacturing (aerosol, liquid filling, or similar environment preferred).
- Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of motors, drives, conveyors, pumps, and filling equipment.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills including motors, sensors, and control circuits.
- Experience with PLC systems (troubleshooting and basic diagnostics).
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
- Experience with preventive maintenance systems (CMMS preferred).
- Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Basic machining and fabrication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime, weekends, and emergency call-ins as needed.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Compensation: (For California, IL, and Remote positions only)
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $25/hour in our lowest geographic market up to $37/hour in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
