Mechanical and Electrical Engineer

Job Summary: Piper Companies is seeking a Mechanical or Electrical Designer to support a leading engineering consulting firm specializing in MEP design projects across commercial, institutional, and mission-critical environments. This position is onsite in Baltimore, MD . Responsibilities: : Develop mechanical or electrical system designs for commercial, institutional, and mission-critical facilities. Create and modify engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications using design software. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project teams to deliver high-quality design solutions. Perform calculations, system layouts, and equipment selections. Support project coordination efforts throughout design and construction phases. Review and update design documents to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards. Participate in client meetings and provide technical support for ongoing projects. Required Qualifications: 3-4+ years of experience in an MEP environment. Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate degree or equivalent experience considered. High school diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience may qualify for senior-level roles. Experience with Revit MEP, AutoCAD, or similar design software preferred. Strong understanding of mechanical or electrical design principles. PE license not required but highly valued. Stable work history with limited job hopping. No security clearance required.
