    Mechanical Assembler - Los Angeles, CA area

    Our client in the Los Angeles, CA area is a division of a world leading manufacturer of aerospace products is looking for a Mechanical Assembler responsible for providing support for their Company.

    Keltia is a technical support services company providing Engineering Design, CAD Training along with Specialized Technical Recruiting services to mainly the aerospace and other industries in WA State, around the US, Canada and Europe. We have been in business 20 years in the US and 8 years in Europe.

    Position purpose/core responsibilities:

    Main Duties:

    • Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
    • Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
    • Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
    • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
    • Verify specifications by measuring completed component.
    • Notify supervisor to obtain additional resources.
    • Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
    • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
    • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
    • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
    • Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
    • Contribute to teams effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • High school graduate or equivalent in job experience.
    • 2+ years' experience as an Assembler.
    • Manufacturing Experience.
    • Power Tools.
    • Mechanical Inspection Tools.
    • Must be detail oriented.
    • Extremely organized.
    • Equipment Maintenance.
    • Quality Focus.
    • Safety Management.
