Hire Up Staffing is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented
Mechanical Assembler for a contract opportunity with a leading manufacturing company in Houston, Texas. This position is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude and manufacturing experience who enjoys hands-on assembly, equipment testing, and ensuring products meet strict quality standards.
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
Job Type: Contract, 5+ months
Job Responsibilities
Disassemble and assemble hydraulic accumulators according to work orders, blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
Set up and operate hydrostatic testing equipment to test assembled hydraulic accumulators.
Connect pumps and accumulators using the correct hydraulic fittings, then pressurize equipment and monitor leak-down rates.
Load and unload materials into testing equipment while following all required safety procedures.
Inspect finished products, document test results, and maintain accurate production and quality records.
Troubleshoot assembly or testing issues and report concerns to the appropriate team members.
Maintain equipment and keep the work area clean, safe, and organized.
Follow all manufacturing procedures, quality standards, and work instructions.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and basic mathematical skills.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented production environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks, including standing, bending, and twisting.
Ability to work alternate shifts and overtime as needed.
