Mechanical Assembler

Position SummaryThe Mechanical Assembler is responsible for the mechanical assembly of dry ice production and blasting equipment and accessories.

Position Responsibilities:

Perform complex and advanced sub-assembly and final assembly of products according to engineering drawingsPull parts from the kanban system and follow inventory control proceduresWork with assembly sketches or other input documents of similar complexityBuild machine sub-assemblies to specifications within established build timesComplete final assembly on machines to specifications within established build timesShakedown machine to verify that the machine operates within parametersTroubleshoot any machine that does not pass shakedownPerform final checks and adjustments for any defects to ensure high-quality productsProvide feedback to the design engineering team regarding design or drawing suggestionsConduct product testing and performance testing and record the resultsMaintain work area clean, safe, and orderlyPerform all work in a safe manner, consistent with safety policiesCross-train in all areas of assembly

Position Requirements:Education & Experience:

HS Diploma or GED required. Vocational school, trade school, or formal OTJ apprenticeship training preferred.Prior machine building experience, small engine repair, or automotive experience would be a plus.

Skill Competencies:

Solid mechanical aptitude.Good dexterity and facility in the use of a variety of hand tools.Proficient at reading assembly drawings.Troubleshoots, problem solves well.Available and willing to work overtime when needed.
